Our Partnership with Dave Richards and José Martín of CESD

SuccessEd has an exclusive agreement to use the forms created by nationally recognized CESD (Council of Educators for Students with Disabilities) Section 504 experts, David Richards and Jose Martín. These forms assist school districts in meeting Section 504 regulations and are compliant with Section 504 amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 2008.

Both Dave and Jose have been active in the development process and testing the program to ensure they meet the same standards as their paper forms but with the ease of use and reporting that our clients have come to expect from our other SuccessEd products.

According to experts Dave and Jose, “At this time, few schools have a firm grasp of the Section 504 process. By creating the guidelines and forms as a system, we sought to ensure consistency in language and action and, to the extent possible, have the forms guide Section 504 Committees through their tasks to ensure that proper procedures were followed to satisfy the Office for Civil Rights (OCR).” Thanks to the broad reach of Dave and Jose’s guidance, these forms have been nationally tested over many years.
