President and CEO

Jim Bridges is the president and CEO of SuccessEd.  He is responsible for overseeing SuccessEd’s overall strategic direction, planning and execution.  Jim is passionate about building companies that serve their customers with fierce commitment and where remarkable employees are constantly challenged, encouraged, and rewarded.

Jim has been in the software business for more than twenty-five years. He has held virtually every position in the industry, having worked as a developer, implementer, sales consultant, vice president of sales, and CEO at some of the industry’s top tech companies.

Jim’s introduction to the software business was as a developer at Brown & Root and Knowledge Systems.  He then spent five years in the consulting practice of Coopers & Lybrand focused primarily on software selection and custom software implementation projects.  At Oracle, Jim worked in a variety of sales leadership roles.  From there he moved to IONA Technologies, where he served as a vice president of sales, spending most of his time in Ireland managing the European and Asia-Pacific sales teams.  Upon returning to the states, Jim served as President and CEO of Corprasoft – a privately-held, market-leading provider of software solutions for corporate legal departments.  In addition to the successful day-to-day operations of the company, Jim was also instrumental in the strategic sale of Corprasoft.

Jim summarized his thoughts on leading SuccessEd by saying, “I am honored to be a part of a remarkable and dedicated team that works hand-in-hand with our customers to deliver the mission critical software that enables them to be more efficient and effective. As we look to the future, I’m committed to building upon the success of the past while continuously improving our product that supports those who change the lives of students and their families.”

Jim received his BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.  He serves on a number of corporate and non-profit boards and is particularly proud of his role as Vice President of the Prosper ISD Board of Trustees.
